 FinOps Data & AI Engineer

We are seeking a FinOps Data & AI Engineer with strong experience in the Azure BI and AI stack to design, develop and optimize our cloud cost analytics, AI-driven insights, and automation capabilities. You will work at the intersection of data engineering, FinOps and AI, building intelligent solutions that help organizations make smarter tech spending decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data pipelines for ingesting, transforming and modeling multi-cloud, multi-scope cost and usage data using Fabric, One Lake and Power BI.
  • Design and build AI-optimized data models.
  • Apply AI/ML techniques to improve forecasting, anomaly detection and optimization recommendations.
  • Collaborate with product owner and engineers to translate business requirements into AI- and data-driven solutions.
  • Implement best practices for performance tuning, governance and security in BI and data pipelines.
  • Stay current on emerging AI, analytics and FinOps technologies, evaluating their potential for inclusion in Envisor’s product roadmap.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years in data engineering, BI development, or AI-powered analytics, ideally with exposure to FinOps or cloud cost management.
  • Strong proficiency with the Azure BI stack (Fabric, One Lake, Python Notebooks, Azure SQL, Power BI) and advanced skills in SQL/KQL.
  • Experience with Azure AI and ML technologies.
  • Working knowledge of cloud cost datasets (FOCUS, AWS CUR, Azure cost exports) and FinOps best practices.
  • FinOps Practitioner or Engineer certification or willingness to become certified within 60 days of hire.
  • Proven ability to design, optimize, and scale complex ETL/ELT processes.
  • Comfortable working in a fully virtual, high-performance, and collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
